The Old Auction house is a independently family owned and operated Creative Hub in Central Victoria that has been operating since 2017.
The Old Auction House is located at the Station end of Mollison Street, near the historic Kyneton Botanical Gardens and just 170m from High St. Check out our About Us page to find out more about the space
Kyneton is a vibrant country town in the heart of the Macedon Ranges, our region comes alive on weekends and while The Old Auction House is open 7 days a week, many of the tourist focused businesses in town do close on Tuesday-Thursday for their weekend.
Kyneton has three major events throughout the year, the Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival that runs all of April, the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival at the start of September and Kyneton Agricultural Show in mid November annually.

Where is the best place to park when visiting?
There is 1.5 hour parking along Mollison Street in front of The Old Auction House, as well as 2 hour parking in the carpark off Welsh Street. If you are coming for a workshop of 2 hours or more there is all day parking in the carpark off Simpson Street or in the surrounding streets.
Can I walk from Kyneton Train Station?
The Old Auction House is 950m from the Kyneton Train Station, it is a short walk and up a slight hill from the station. There is a footpath on both sides of the road that is well maintained.
Are you located on Piper Street Kyneton?
Piper Street is the well known tourism destination in Kyneton for galleries and boutiques, we are located 700m walk from Piper St, at the Station end of Mollison Street.
Can I bring my dog to The Old Auction House?
If it is not an Accredited Service Dog, unfortunately not. Due to the glass studio on site please only bring photos of your pup for us to fuss about.
If it is an Accredited Service Dog, of course you can. If you are participating in a workshop please let us know in advance and ensure your dog is wearing booties for their own safety, especially in the glass studio.
Is The Old Auction House Accessible?
The entire space has been renovated to allow for access by prams, walking frames, and wheelchairs. Please check out our Accessibility Page for full details. Please do not hesitate to ring or email us if you have any questions in relation to visiting the space or participating in workshops.
How far is Kyneton from Melbourne?
It is 70 minutes from Melbourne to Kyneton. There can be a bit of traffic from the city through to Green Gully especially during peak hour but once you reach Calder Park you will normally not have a problem with traffic and it is 40 minutes down the Calder Freeway to Kyneton.
How far is Kyneton from Bendigo?
Kyneton is just 50 minutes down the Calder Freeway from Bendigo, or and hour by train, making it a perfect day trip from Bendigo!
