About the Painting Kit Required for the Class
Your painting kit includes a balanced palette designed to give you the most mixing options. You’ll need a warm and a cool version of each primary colour (yellow, red, blue). Emily has suggested names in Matisse Derivan and Amsterdam, but if you already have paints in another brand, that’s perfectly fine — just aim for a warm and a cool of each. Alongside the primaries, it’s crucial to have some key neutrals: Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna, Titanium White, Zinc White, and Buff Titanium. These will allow you to soften and balance your mixes, create natural light effects, and give depth to your paintings. With this set, you’ll be able to mix a wide range of colours, from clean brights to earthy muted tones, while learning how colour, light, and form work together in still life painting.
Apart from the 12 tubes of Paint you will also require: Synthetic Brushes (Suggested Sizes are; Long Liner Size 0, Flat Size 18, Flat Size 2, Round Size 0) & an Acrylic Pad (Suggested to be approx 400gsm and minimum of 10 sheets)
You have the option to purchase a Class Kit when booking, we have tried to make it as affordable as possible, it works out to $14 a tube for Amsterdam and a 15% discount on the rest of the kit.
